5 Ways To Support Local Breweries on Small Brewery Sunday

At The Lab, we are committed to supporting breweries with all we’ve got. Whether it’s helping them bring a new brew to life on our state-of-the-art commercial equipment, showcasing their products for anonymous feedback in our taproom, or ensuring consistent quality with our full-service lab, we strive to be an asset to the craft brewers that give so much to our communities.

Small Brewery Sunday is an opportunity for all of us to come together to show local brewers that we appreciate their creativity, resilience, and contributions.

Here are five simple ways to get out there and support your local breweries this Small Brewery Sunday.

Get Your Beverages To-Go

Although restrictions are tightening, many local breweries are still offering pickup and curbside service. Visit the website or social media pages of your favorite local breweries to find out how you can order and pick up crowlers or growlers to go. Better yet, plan an excursion to visit several breweries and create your own at-home pub crawl.

Have Beer Delivered To Your Door

You can participate in Small Brewery Sunday without even leaving the comfort of your home. Several breweries provide delivery within a certain mile radius of their location - sometimes even for free! Pull up Google Maps and type in “breweries” to see what you find.  Be prepared to show ID when your goods arrive, and of course, tip those delivery folks generously.

Buy Their Merch

Many taprooms and breweries have a line of branded merchandise you can buy to show your love and support. From sweatshirts and hats to barware, sunglasses, and masks, you can find whatever you “need” branded with the logo of your favorite brewery. You’re not only providing much-needed revenue, but you’ll also serve as a walking advertisement for great local beer.

Spread Holiday Cheer in the Form of Beer

Tis the season for giving, so why not share the gift of great beer? Pick up a crowler to two for your friends and family to let them know you’re thinking about them. Know someone who loves a good stout or a juicy IPA? Collect an assortment of a favorite style from a few different breweries to make your own beer gift basket. Brewery gift cards are the perfect stocking stuffer for the beer lover in your life.

Sign up for Their Newsletters and Follow Them on Social Media

Show your support with a like, follow, or subscribe. It only takes a minute or two, but it means a lot to local businesses who need to spread the word to survive. Leave a positive review or share an update on a new release with your followers. You never know who might see and show up for local breweries as a result.

Be A Brewery Advocate

Small businesses and breweries need advocacy for support on a local and national level. It’s easier than you might think. You can visit the Brewers Association website and sign up with your email state and ZIP. They’ll send you E-Action Alerts to encourage you to contact your legislative representatives when needed to support local breweries.
